All campaigns include BTS, Behind The Scenes. This element of a campaign usually takes the form of a video, with shaky, handheld imagery from the making of the campaign’s main advertising. Or in the case of photographs, taken backstage of a runway presentation, apparently without any staging—black and white gives added authenticity to the overall expression.
BTS helps to develop a more intimate relationship with the consumers and offer certain insights into the industry, the making of the product or the campaign itself. As a rule, BTS should be more entertainment and less marketing.

More than just riffing on dusty formats like Scene&Heard and Purple Diary or on the curatorial mass imperative upon which Instagram is built, this publication, continues to inscribe these characters into select production stills from an as yet non-existing biopic—a “making-of” à la “the Artist and his Times”.

This book is published in conjunction with Tobias Kaspar’s homonymous exhibition New Address—the inauguration exhibition of __________, __________. New Address took place from __________ to __________ and coincided with the artists move to Riga. In this publication Tobias Kaspar artistic approach unfolds through an image flow taken from the artists hard disk, not showing clean white cub installation views but rather dirty raw making-of photographs according to apartments the artist has been living in and paying rent for in the past years. An additional booklet includes a list of works as they appear in the book as well a text by artist Mikael Brkic and a longer essay by art historian Daniel Horn.
